Taking Technology to Task

Is Your Mobile On? provides a lateral look at
technology, charting its
development and
intrusion into modern day life. Joe Cassels shares his personal journey
starting with Pong and his childhood ZX81 right up to his use of smart
phones and Windows Vista. Along the way he examines the use and abuse
of computers and presents versions of historic events if modern
technology had been available at the time. He's also regularly
interrupted by PC support calls from desperate users.
The
show debuted on the Edinburgh Fringe in 2007, playing three weeks at
the Roman Eagle Lodge. It's available for small venues and after dinner
occassions, suiting an audience including secretaries, administrators
or anyone else who has to wrestle with technology on a daily basis.
